Someone, with that winning combo of 'permission + ability' has worked out how to use the kitchen tap mixer and can now get her own glass of water.
This someone now has a yearning to drink numerous glasses of water every day.
This ever-more independent little lady is spending tonight at the home of her little buddy, having her first big girl's sleepover!! She was so excited and so confident. I wasn't sure if she would waiver when she saw me going but no... already in a giddy vortex of giggles and tickles with her little friend, she barely noticed my wistful gaze as I left. I requested one extra smooshy kiss and bear hug to help me get through the night, which she graciously bestowed. And now I anxiously wait till morning to hear what time the giggles lasted till...
Sentimentalities aside... I'm so happy my brave girl is having such a fun experience! But wow, I can't wait for that first cuddle tomorrow!
Wow, first sleepover, that is so huge - probably as much for you as it is for her. Hope she had a great time! I love the observations of the little details of your kids life that you make here, it is going to be such a treasure trove to look back on in the years to come.
