5/52 - Snuggly

Project 52: A portrait of my children, once a week, every week, in 2013.

This week has been all about snuggling into our little nest with our newest family member!

Although I plan to do individual portraits of the kids each week, cuddling and doting on their new baby brother is such a big part of Lily and Eli's world right now, it seemed only right to feature that in this weeks portraits!

And so....

Lily...
She mothers him. Pretty sure she considers him to be hers. The way she coos and cuddles and whispers sweet nothings - it just comes so naturally! It is both heartwarming and hilarious. I feel like she has been almost overwhelmed with the intensity of her love for her new brother, summed up when she proclaimed to me matter-of-factly this week 'I love Miles so much, I don't ever want to love anybody else.' (!!!)

Eli...
Proudest big brother in the world!
He constantly asks 'Where Baby Miles?' and wants to look at him, check on him, hold him and of course enthusiastically kiss and cuddle him.... a little too much at times! He loves his little brother with a passion, that's for sure...

Miles...
He takes my breath away. My beautiful baby boy. I can't stop kissing his delicious neck. I can't stop gazing at that adorable face. You are such a sweet, placid, calm little boy, slotting into our family as if it could never have been any other way.
