{GIVEAWAY} Win one of three customised wall banners!

It all began three years ago when I was trawling Etsy (as you do) for some kind of bedroom door sign for my newborn son's bedroom... I trawled and trawled (you know how it is!) and could not find anything in a style I liked. Why was this so hard?! And why was I becoming so obsessed, haha!! ;)

Finally I came across the most gorgeous designs by an Etsy shop called All The Little Rockstars. Jackpot!!! Wooden flag banners with cute wooden letters and lots of colour combinations to choose from... both modern and classic, for the door or the wall, I had found the perfect choice! In Slovenia of all places (oh, how I love Etsy for discovering new places and stores like this). I had a delightful time with the super friendly creator, Anita, coming up with fun colour combos and was simply thrilled with the end result. Anita, also a mama of two boys, was so friendly and fun to work with, I could see she loved putting the banners together so much. Soon I was buying one for my other son, then my daughter... then my nieces when they were born, then friend's new babies. You get the drift... I became her (self-appointed) best customer, haha! And of course we became online friends too - love that :)

The banners can be hung on the wall (or anywhere!) but I love to tie them around the door so they become a little bedroom door name sign :)

{GIVEAWAY} Win a gorgeous alpaca wool BEANIE!

Hands up if you love hand knitted stuff? Meeeeeeee! Can't get enough, especially bundling  my kiddos up in that cosy warm goodness to get us through our frosty Canberra winters!

I am so excited to offer this giveaway to you guys! You know I love supporting small businesses and hand made stuff. Well, usually that means featuring a lovely WAHM but this time it's something a little different.... Jay of Little Wombats is a friend of mine from Tassie. A lovely young man in his 20's, (ok, makes me feel soooo old to say that, haha!), he took up knitting as a way to relax a couple years back. He started off making a few little beanies for friends who were having babies and of course everyone adored them! Then, being the lovely guy he is, he decided to make a commitment to knitting a sweet little beanie as a gift for anyone he knew that was having a baby! How sweet is that :) Well, things started steam rolling as everyone fell in love with his gorgeous custom designs, So, as the requests kept coming, he started selling them online too, with even more success. Awesome, huh?

His beanies are beautifully made, and feature the cutest modern designs (animals, geometric shapes, bear ears!), and all made out of 100% baby alpaca wool. The wool is sooooooo soft, you just want to rub your face on it (I may have actually done that. Ahem!). But seriously - days of itchy, scratchy wool be gone. This stuff is soft and cosy and ohhhhh so warm!!!!

I am thrilled to offer a giveaway for TWO custom made beanies! One I am giving away here on the blog, the other on my facebook page. Yes, you can enter in both places. Well, the lovely Breanne was one of the first non-family-and-friends person to start reading my little ol' blog, way back when I started back in 2012. Honestly, I couldn't believe anyone was reading it, haha. I'm not sure how she found me, but her comments were always so sweet and supportive :) Since then, it has been just fantastic to see Breanne begin her own journey of motherhood - she now has a sweet little boy! Aaaaand then just a year ago, in all her non-existent spare time, she put her incredible creativity to work and started up the homewares company BEHR&CO. It has thrilled me no end to see her products quickly gain popularity, as well they should because JUST LOOK. I've seen her wares featured everywhere from The Block to InStyle magazine... and now here, heehee! :) No surprise, because they are simply stunning products made from marble, brass and fabric, the kind of pieces you would display in your home foreveerrrrrrr, right? I love how everything is so contemporary yet classic in style. Breanne designs and sources the products from master artisans both here and in Italy....all while being a devoted mama. Just love that!

Breanne kindly sent me a stunning hexagon trivet cut from Italian Carrera marble (so lush, huh?) and a beautifully designed perfectly-slouchy little hexagon fabric pouch. I had fun pretending to be a stylist (ha!)... but really, with gorgeous homewares like these, you can't go too wrong, huh?? ;) But seriously... I will let these pieces speak for themselves, they don't need much dressing up!

What can't you put on a marble trivet?? Everything from a cheese spread to your favourite vase. Even mangoes look nice ;) Use the trivet in the kitchen or around the home for decor, it all works!

These pouches are so cute, sturdy and handy! Pop in a pot plant, or your scarves, or kid's toys - anything!

Three spunky little pouches, ready for the kids to store all kinds of treasures. LOVE all the fresh designs (by Breanne herself!!).... Lily is planning to use hers to store her many hair ties and head bands (easy to tote all over the house)!

{Give Away!} Lottie Dolls // From Archaeology to Astronomy, Lottie can do it all!

Our family's love for Lottie dolls runs long and deep, ever since I spent countless hours hunting through the interwebzzzz for an alternative to Barbie - and was shocked to find there was hardly any! I finally came across the sweet and spunky Lottie doll, and gleefully bought one for Lily as a very special reward (for when she stopped sucking her thumb!). We have been fan girls ever since!

Lottie's age appropriate clothes, relatable activities and child-like body won this mama's heart, in a world where the sexualisation of 'children's toys' seems to run rife (I'm looking at you, Bratz Dolls). Lottie can stand on her own two feet (a useful skill for any girl!) and is all about being yourself, having adventures and enjoying simple childhood fun - from ballet to karate to walking the dog! My daughter Lily loves that she can relate to all of Lottie's adventures, and together they explore the world with glee! Lottie is like a true friend and peer to my daughter, it's just charming :)

Lottie Doll HQ (the Arklu company in the UK).got wind of our fan-girl status and very kindly sent us some new Lottie dolls to meet!!! Of course, we were super excited to do so, especially because their cool new range includes some fantastic Science themed Lottie Dolls. Stargazer (Astronomy) and Fossil Hunter (Archaeology) Lottie highlights women in science and celebrates girls whose love for science helps them discover cool new things! We also met 'Muddy Puddles Lottie', who loves to stomp in puddles like any other kid. Then there was Pony Club Lottie who comes with a beautiful horse for Lottie to ride through the fields (or through the backyard, as the case may be haha).

Pony Club Lottie loves to ride around . Lily screamed for about 5 minutes when she saw this horse!!! What is it about girls and horses?? A match made in heaven. And yes, Lily has requested her own horse now ;) Lottie's riding outfit here just slays me.... how precious is that blazer!?

How awesome is Stargazer Lottie? Her own telescope, dressed for chilly evenings outside staring at the night sky. It came with these great little cards listing all the planets and included a history of female astronomers too! 

Checking out the telescope. We talked about how and why people look at the stars and planets. She was fascinated! A whole new world opened up to her... way up there!

Is this not the most adorable archaeologist you ever saw?! Fossil Hunter Lottie comes kitted out with backpack, digging tools (so tiny!!) and even fossils to dig for :) The little cards are all information about female archaeologists. The whole kit fitted into the teeny backpack... Lily was soooo thrilled about that. She packed everything in neatly, then these girls were ready to go discover!

A little girl with four amazing new friends. What a gang! Brave, adventurous, fun and fascinated with the world around them! 

The details of their outfits are so precise and charming. The clothes are well made, detailed and easy to dress/undress. Yes, two minutes after these photos, all the outfits were pulled off, swapped around, mixed up, never to appear the same way again, lol! Part of the fun, right?!
