Our family's love for Lottie dolls runs long and deep, ever since I spent countless hours hunting through the interwebzzzz for an alternative to Barbie - and was shocked to find there was hardly any! I finally came across the sweet and spunky Lottie doll, and gleefully bought one for Lily as a very special reward (for when she stopped sucking her thumb!). We have been fan girls ever since!
Lottie's age appropriate clothes, relatable activities and child-like body won this mama's heart, in a world where the sexualisation of 'children's toys' seems to run rife (I'm looking at you, Bratz Dolls). Lottie can stand on her own two feet (a useful skill for any girl!) and is all about being yourself, having adventures and enjoying simple childhood fun - from ballet to karate to walking the dog! My daughter Lily loves that she can relate to all of Lottie's adventures, and together they explore the world with glee! Lottie is like a true friend and peer to my daughter, it's just charming :)
Lottie Doll HQ (the Arklu company in the UK).got wind of our fan-girl status and very kindly sent us some new Lottie dolls to meet!!! Of course, we were super excited to do so, especially because their cool new range includes some fantastic Science themed Lottie Dolls. Stargazer (Astronomy) and Fossil Hunter (Archaeology) Lottie highlights women in science and celebrates girls whose love for science helps them discover cool new things! We also met 'Muddy Puddles Lottie', who loves to stomp in puddles like any other kid. Then there was Pony Club Lottie who comes with a beautiful horse for Lottie to ride through the fields (or through the backyard, as the case may be haha).
Check out some photos of Lily meeting her new Lottie buddies... and don't forget to enter the give away at the bottom of this post - there are two chances to win a Lottie for the little adventurer in your life!! :)
Checking out the telescope. We talked about how and why people look at the stars and planets. She was fascinated! A whole new world opened up to her... way up there! |
Reading aloud the names of all the planets. |
Look at the stars, and reach for them! Love how Lottie makes it all seem possible for our mighty girls :) |
Muddy Puddles Lottie loves splashing in the rain as much as my kiddos! |
Having a serious little chat with her buddies :) |
A little girl with four amazing new friends. What a gang! Brave, adventurous, fun and fascinated with the world around them! |

Disclaimer: These dolls were gifted to me for review. All opinions are 100% my own,
Would love one for my girls just love that they are still sweet and innocent!!!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh. There's a fossil hunter and a stargazer Lottie now? You know how obsessed my two girls are with science, don't you? Oh, I'm totally ringing up Grandma and telling her she has to buy these for my girls for Christmas, like right now. :)
ReplyDeleteSo, if I won one, I wouldn't give them to my girls, cause we'd already have them! Haha. But seriously, I would really LOVE to give one to my daughter's best friend. Peer relationships can be tricky, and I'd love to kick start a little neighbourhood Lottie-loving craze. :)
For my daughter who loves science and mystery in the world! Theae are great and so age appropriate. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI would give this to my almost 4 yo daughter who has become increasingly more impressionable and is craving a big girl doll to play with, which until now we havent been able to find one that depicts our values in marketing and physicality (the world is sadly too full of Barbie, Monster High, Disney Princess dolls that look like Barbie, Ever After High, and Bratz...girls need and crave good role model toys, and it should not be so hard to find them). She would adore this (and the fact they have science themed ones would even be more cool for her) and Lottie would be her new best friend!
ReplyDeleteCongrats Amy, you are a winner!!!! :) Please contact me via the FB page with your postal address :)
DeleteI would give it to my little girl, because lottie is a normal sized girl and I think that it might help her grow up to be less image concious and know that girls don't have a tiny little waist
ReplyDeleteI would love one for my grandgirl Emily's 5th birthday coming up soon! She makes up stories for her dolls & takes them on adventures with her.
ReplyDeleteI would love to win a Lottie doll for my youngest son who loves Snow Queen Lottie because she has a beautiful dress.

ReplyDeleteI would give the Lottie doll to my daughter Bella.
ReplyDeleteShe is my sweet little girl who worries about everything. Everyday I give her a worry stone. I take the stone every morning and rub it and give it a kiss to fill my love in the stone. When my daughter wakes up she will take the stone with her wherever she goes.
I'd like to win the Lottie doll for her as a gift for going back to school. Lottie will be her partner everyday! Bella would love to have Lottie as a friend to share her worry stone with and make new adventures!

ReplyDeleteI would love to win one for my little angel, she would be so excited to see that she won
ReplyDeleteI would give this to Miss 6 - she loves dolls to distraction but so many have such unrealistic proportions and are dressed in such a way that I struggle to allow her what she loves. With these dolls I would have no problems with her doll obsession! Thanks Natasha tarsh@tassie.net.au
ReplyDeleteI answered on the FB page that I would give to either mr3 or miss5 - but now I see that you have fossil hunter. Miss 5 desperately wants this doll, she was terribly upset when I didn't buy one on my trip to the UK a few months ago.digging in the dirt is one of her favourite activites.
