It's no secret we are big Lottie doll fans around here.
After a ridiculously lengthy search for a Barbie-alternative for Lily earlier this year, I discovered Lottie and we are all ever so glad I did! If you aren't familiar already, Lottie is a wonderful little doll, modeled on real girls... she has a young girl's body, she does young girl's activities (everything from karate to swimming to ballet!) and can even stand on her own two feet - a great quality for any girl, wouldn't you say? (You can read more about why we fell in love with Lottie here). A spunky, sweet, adventurous little gal, she seemed the perfect match for my daughter when I wasn't too keen on Barbie, Bratz and their ilk. She is just a kid, like Lily - and a wonderful avenue through which Lily can play out her rich imagination. Lily and Lottie have become an adorable duo, getting up to all sorts of adventures around our home.
Well, what do you know, after finding out what big fans we are, the lovely Lottie folk kindly sent a little parcel containing some treasures... some for us (yay!) and some for YOU (double yay, huh??).
It is hard to say which one I was more excited about...
Firstly, I am every shade of in love with this recently released Super Lottie outfit. Isn't it cool! And just teeny and precious!! A female superhero outfit that isn't basically underwear - what a novel concept ;) You wouldn't believe it, it was designed in a competition by a six year old girl called Lily!! Not mine though, this Lily is from America. So sweet, though. Lily gasped in awe when she saw th outfit and muttered to herself 'Lottie is going to LOVE this.' And indeed it seems she does. Flying high, standing tall, she can do anything, this doll :)
'I just wish Lottie had a best friend, or even a brother' said Lily wistfully later on.
Well, what do you know? I had been waiting hopefully ever since I heard the rumours of a boy version of Lottie doll being created. I just knew Eli would adore having his own little buddy!! And here he is - just so cute huh? A real 'typical boy'. I couldn't stop laughing because of our own awesome little buddy Finn who is usually dressed similarly to this. I think it is so wonderful and refreshing for little guys to have a friend who is just like them. Boys can enjoy dolls too, after all. Ok, super heroes and action figures are great, but isn't it nice for our boys to have a relatable figure too? I haven't gone hunting, but I don't know of any other boy dolls like this... and I just think it is fantastic to have one like this on the market. Eli was simply shocked, awed and thrilled with his own boy doll. Oh, his sweet face and squeal. Cutest ever. Because he is the most appreciative boy who ever lived, he straight away jumped up and threw his arms around me, 'Oh thank you, Mummy!!! My own Lottie BOY doll!!!'
Now Lottie and Finn, brother and sister, are ready for adventures together. I'm so excited to see what they get up to. It's ridiculously charming to see them playing together already. Eli is super happy to have his own special 'Lottie boy doll', especially so he can join in pretend play with his adored big sister. He is so proud of Finn, it is kinda killing me with the cuteness!!
'They can hold hands 'cos they are friends!' |

ReplyDeleteThis is such a lovely idea, Kate, and so very generous of you!! I would love to win a little Lottie doll for my little lady, who is just discovering dolls. I would love for her to have her very own Lottie doll as she really does seem like the perfect doll for children (both boys and girls). Thank you for this generous give away... Such a lovely idea just in time for Christmas :-)
ReplyDeleteMy daughter would love this gorgeous little Lottie doll :-) thank you for doing such a fun giveaway!
ReplyDeleteYou introduced us to Lottie dolls and I have shared the info with quite a few friends of mine who were looking for more mainstream doll alternatives. I love that there is a boy version now too and it DOES look like exactly what 'our' Finn would wear! lol
ReplyDeleteHannah would adore this doll, I just know it :)
I will share your giveaway on my FB page too :)
Imogen and Carmen would love a friend to take on their overseas adventure next year
ReplyDeleteI would share her with my daughter. I know she will love Lottie because she looks just like a little friend.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter, she loves dolls and superheroes. Lottie would be perfect :)
ReplyDeleteI'd give her to my 6 year old daughter. I'd have to get one the super hero outfits to go with it too. She would love it!
ReplyDeleteI'd give one to my four year old daughter. This looks like a great little doll. Thanks for introducing this to us. So much better than the whole barbie/bratz thing!
ReplyDeleteI found Lottie via your blog and bought English county garden Lottie for my four year old. My six year old would love autumn leaves Lottie so she can be friends with English garden Lottie!
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited to hear of these dolls... so refreshing to see one made like this that actually looks like a little girl!! I would have to give the doll to my niece who looks a bit like this version of Lottie - I have been looking for a gift for her and this would be perfect!
ReplyDeleteMy middle/second baby has found it a bit tricky adapting to her baby brother. This Lottie would be a lovely treat for her, especially seeing as though it seems she has turned a corner and is really catching on happily to the changes in our family.
ReplyDeleteI hadn't seen the Lottie dolls before reading your post but wish I'd known about them sooner! So nice to see a doll that looks more life like than what's normally on offer :/ I'd gift Lottie to my niece who will be one in January - start her collection the right way. Gorgeous photos as always!
ReplyDeleteMy two love playing imaginary games together so imagine having a brother and sister doll - I am sure my son would probably prefer that to the Barbies he currently has to work with (benefits of an older sister *groan*). I saw the Lottie dolls when they first launched via social media but have never come across one in a shop, so out of sight out of mind.. thank you for reminding me about these fab dolls.
ReplyDeletePS I would give Lottie to my daughter.. perfect christmas gift :-) and I might have to find out how I can get a Finn!
ReplyDeleteA awesome gift for my daughter
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous Doll Lottie is. Thank you for introducing her to me and how exciting there is also a boy version. My daughter would love both! I also have my own real life Finn!! I would have to give this doll to my daughter for Christmas and it would make such a special gift.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful doll and giveaway! I would have to gift the doll to my youngest son who is in love with all female superheros.
ReplyDeleteI've heard of Lottie dolls before but you really sold me on them, I think my 6 year old would love her.
ReplyDeleteMy husband tried to get my girls interested in the karate Lottie, but they went straight to the ballet one! The variety is fantastic.
ReplyDeleteI'd give Autumn Lottie to my twin girls, and go and buy another one to stop the fighting :-)
DeleteHi Angela, You are the winner of this comp! Hoping to hear from you soon xx
DeleteI'd give it to my friend's daughter because she'd love it!
ReplyDeleteI'd give my Lottie doll to my next door neighbour, she is three and oh so cute, she comes over when I'm finished and work and we make ice cream sundaes.
ReplyDeleteoh i can see why you love Lottie! I am not a fan of Barbies and certainly not bratz, so have gone the peg doll way, but these dolls are delightful. Especially since they are children. My daughter would adore winning and Lottie would be moved into the dolls house in no time flat! thanks for the chance!!
ReplyDeleteI can totally relate to why you like these dolls so much. I would love a Lottie doll for my daughter - for all the reasons you've stated. She's four, and far too young to face the harsh realities of an oversexualised world. I'd love for her to have a little friend that she can relate to.
ReplyDeleteMy beautiful niece. She became a big sister a few months ago and she has been so sweet to her baby sister.
ReplyDeleteI would give her to my daughter because she would just fall in love with this doll. Thank you for the wonderful giveaway.
ReplyDeleteErin
Every little girl should have a Lottie doll, so cute and such a positive role model. I love the Karate Kawaii and Super Lottie outfits!
ReplyDeleteI would gift Lottie to my beautiful 5yo daughter Shaylee. Lottie is such a wonderful age appropriate role model and lots of good wholesome fun!
ReplyDeleteI love that you found this lovely little doll that is just like little kiddies and that Lily and Eli seem to love them just as much :)
ReplyDeleteOh, Ruby would love a Lottie! And by some miracle for which I am forever grateful, she is infinitely willing to share toys with Frances, so I'm sure Lottie would become a part of the family, loved by everyone. :)
ReplyDeleteI would gift this Lottie to my son, dolls should be loved by everyone. Boy or girl there is no line, so please let this Lottie come live at mine!
ReplyDeleteOoh that's a tough one! Lottie would have to be shared between two little girls who would love her here. Miss 5 might try to claim her though as she always tells everyone her birthday is the 'first of Autumn' :)
ReplyDeleteWe have a much loved Lottie, and like your boy, my six year old has been waiting for a boy version, so Finn is on the way. We would love to welcome this little one to the family too, miss nearly 5 has been asking for the lottie with stripy legs for some time.
ReplyDeleteSuper excited to find out about this doll and giveaway! I would gift it to my daughter because I just recently had to have a conversation with our 3 year old about why other brand dolls have 'adult' figures and how some of the clothing choices available for said doll are not appropriate for said 3yr old to copy in real life.
ReplyDeleteI would love to gift this to one of my 3 girls.. and then would have to buy another 2 for christmas.. and a Finn for Lachy of course! But would love to win to get me started. I was just thinking today how I want to rid the girls toys of all there other "dolls" that I dont like them having (they have a box full and we've never bought one!!)
ReplyDeleteI would gift this to my three year old daughter who loves imaginative play, I envision it scaling many trees, stomping many puddles and dancing, lots of dancing!
ReplyDeletethanks everyone for entering :)
