{Giveaway!} Lottie Dolls for Everyone

It's no secret we are big Lottie doll fans around here.

After a ridiculously lengthy search for a Barbie-alternative for Lily earlier this year, I discovered Lottie and we are all ever so glad I did! If you aren't familiar already, Lottie is a wonderful little doll, modeled on real girls... she has a young girl's body, she does young girl's activities (everything from karate to swimming to ballet!) and can even stand on her own two feet - a great quality for any girl, wouldn't you say? (You can read more about why we fell in love with Lottie here). A spunky, sweet, adventurous little gal, she seemed the perfect match for my daughter when I wasn't too keen on Barbie, Bratz and their ilk. She is just a kid, like Lily - and a wonderful avenue through which Lily can play out her rich imagination. Lily and Lottie have become an adorable duo, getting up to all sorts of adventures around our home.

Well, what do you know, after finding out what big fans we are, the lovely Lottie folk kindly sent a little parcel containing some treasures... some for us (yay!) and some for YOU (double yay, huh??).

It is hard to say which one I was more excited about...

Firstly, I am every shade of in love with this recently released Super Lottie outfit. Isn't it cool! And just teeny and precious!! A female superhero outfit that isn't basically underwear - what a novel concept ;) You wouldn't believe it, it was designed in a competition by a six year old girl called Lily!! Not mine though, this Lily is from America. So sweet, though. Lily gasped in awe when she saw th outfit and muttered to herself 'Lottie is going to LOVE this.' And indeed it seems she does. Flying high, standing tall, she can do anything, this doll :)

'I just wish Lottie had a best friend, or even a brother' said Lily wistfully later on.

Well, what do you know? I had been waiting hopefully ever since I heard the rumours of a boy version of Lottie doll being created. I just knew Eli would adore having his own little buddy!! And here he is - just so cute huh? A real 'typical boy'. I couldn't stop laughing because of our own awesome little buddy Finn who is usually dressed similarly to this. I think it is so wonderful and refreshing for little guys to have a friend who is just like them. Boys can enjoy dolls too, after all. Ok, super heroes and action figures are great, but isn't it nice for our boys to have a relatable figure too? I haven't gone hunting, but I don't know of any other boy dolls like this... and I just think it is fantastic to have one like this on the market. Eli was simply shocked, awed and thrilled with his own boy doll. Oh, his sweet face and squeal. Cutest ever. Because he is the most appreciative boy who ever lived, he straight away jumped up and threw his arms around me, 'Oh thank you, Mummy!!! My own Lottie BOY doll!!!'

Now Lottie and Finn, brother and sister, are ready for adventures together. I'm so excited to see what they get up to. It's ridiculously charming to see them playing together already. Eli is super happy to have his own special 'Lottie boy doll', especially so he can join in pretend play with his adored big sister. He is so proud of Finn, it is kinda killing me with the cuteness!!

'They can hold hands 'cos they are friends!'

And now... a little something for you! Yes, the folk from Arklu kindly included a spunky little 'Autumn Leaves' Lottie Doll so in the spirit of the season, I thought I would share the Lottie love! 13. My middle/second baby has found it a bit tricky adapting to her baby brother. This Lottie would be a lovely treat for her, especially seeing as though it seems she has turned a corner and is really catching on happily to the changes in our family.

  15. My two love playing imaginary games together so imagine having a brother and sister doll - I am sure my son would probably prefer that to the Barbies he currently has to work with (benefits of an older sister *groan*). I saw the Lottie dolls when they first launched via social media but have never come across one in a shop, so out of sight out of mind.. thank you for reminding me about these fab dolls.

  24. oh i can see why you love Lottie! I am not a fan of Barbies and certainly not bratz, so have gone the peg doll way, but these dolls are delightful. Especially since they are children. My daughter would adore winning and Lottie would be moved into the dolls house in no time flat! thanks for the chance!!

  25. I can totally relate to why you like these dolls so much. I would love a Lottie doll for my daughter - for all the reasons you've stated. She's four, and far too young to face the harsh realities of an oversexualised world. I'd love for her to have a little friend that she can relate to.

  35. Super excited to find out about this doll and giveaway! I would gift it to my daughter because I just recently had to have a conversation with our 3 year old about why other brand dolls have 'adult' figures and how some of the clothing choices available for said doll are not appropriate for said 3yr old to copy in real life.

  36. I would love to gift this to one of my 3 girls.. and then would have to buy another 2 for christmas.. and a Finn for Lachy of course! But would love to win to get me started.
