35/52 - it's all sunshine and rainbows

Lily

Having overheard discussions about one day covering this slanted and awkward paved area out our back door with a raised wooden deck, Lily took it upon herself to spruce up the area herself.

A rainbow chalk deck, no less!

Well, her dedication to the task petered out after a while, so she didn't achieve full coverage but you can see it could have been quite spectacular. Whilst the enthusiasm remained, she did work very industriously!

Eli

Brave boy.

Miles

Soaking up the sunshine. He spreads that sunshine wherever he goes!

Project 52: A portrait of my children, once a week, every week, in 2013.

More highlights from the week that was...

My posts are a bit behind as we just returned from a lovely 2.5 week holiday in sunny Queensland! A good break from blogging and everything else. It was glorious and relaxing - many pics to come of course once I get organised!

  2. Welcome back to blogging Kate! I have missed you :) Lily's photo is very sweet. I like that she saw a little room for improvement and acted on it. Good job Eli! Those robe bridges are always more challenging than they appear (says the mum who has had to get up on them and rescue a few kids in her time ;) ) He really does have his concentration face on :P

  3. Love the close up shot of Lily and the chalk. The colors are so great!...not just the chalk but her outfit too. What a sweet little helper.

I agree with Amber, love Eli's intense concentration face.

And the photo of Miles in the hat is too cute. What a happy little guy,

BTW - SO jealous that you got to meet so many of the DDers. It's just not fair that Australia is so far away from the USA!! ;-)
