Toothy Peg Brushing Time

Teeth brushing is (thankfully) a popular activity in our home. Eli is a new and obsessive convert, asking to brush multiple times a day 'TOOF!! BWUSH!!!' as he attempts to clutch at his brush up on the counter. Yeah, poor second child, it wasn't toooo long ago we realised (having almost a full set of teeth) that we should probably start brushing his teeth too!!! Eep.

It was fun tonight to capture some shots of a simple and sweet, regular part of our routine - looking at the photos makes me realise even these mundane tasks will seem pretty magical in years to come.

Just.too.cute. Two babies in their jammies, cleaning their sweet little pearly whites...

Just chillin' and Brushin'...

Mummy helps do the 'proper' brush

Eli returns the favour...

Rinse, spit, done.... time for bed time stories!

PS - Yes, I know you are all marvelling at our rockin' 70's brown tiled bathroom... hoping it has some retro appeal by now?! :)

  1. That toddler tummy in a striped onesie, leaning on the tub... yep, that's just about the cutest thing I've seen tonight. Gosh I love a round-y toddler tum. I super-dooper love it when they walk around absent mindedly rubbing that tum :)
The last shot is beautiful too - definitely the kind of moment that will be treasured in years to come.

  4. Kate, I just had to drop by and say how much I enjoy your posts - when I read them I can imagine you sitting at the computer and smiling because your smiles seem to jump up onto the page (oh dear, that justs sounds ridiculous, but I hope you kinda get what I'm trying to say). I really love your conversational style.

  5. Such a gorgeous post Kate. Something so simple but very much a part of our days as parents.
We do the same thing, the kids start the brushing and we finish off. Oh and we kinda fogot about brushing Harper's teeth for a while there. Ahhhh we are ever so diligent with our first....then things seem to slip a bit ;)
I love the pic of Eli brushing your teeth. Great to see you in a photo :)
